Mr. Nakamura attended the University of Hawaii, Manoa Campus, where he received a B.B.A. degree from the College of
Business Administration in 1973. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Santa Clara School of Law in 1976. Mr.
Nakamura was admitted to the Hawaii Bar in 1976.
From August 1977 to June 1979, Mr. Nakamura served as the Administrative Assistant to the Honorable James Wakatsuki,
then Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hawaii State Legislature. In June 1979, he joined the law firm of Robbins, Chu & Reilly,
where he primarily was involved in real estate law. During the early part of 1981, Mr. Nakamura served as the attorney for the Democratic
Party, House of Representatives, where he drafted and reviewed proposed legislation and advised the various House committees and their
Mr. Nakamura subsequently became a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, Department of the Prosecuting Attorney, City and County
of Honolulu, in 1981. In April 1982, he joined the firm as an associate.
Mr. Nakamura is presently a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association and the Association of Trial Attorneys of America.
